First half of 2017
The first half of the year is already over. This was 6 months of 2017.
I just have to ask: How are you near year resolutions going? Did your already accomplish them? Maybe it’s a good time to get back on track?
Thinking about this, I don’t even know if I had any New Year’s resolutions. Not really. I just wanted to be open for what would happen. However, there were a few things I wanted to make progress on.
First, I wanted to go traveling. Doing that. Check. Went to Canada in March. Went back to Germany after a month. Went back to Canada after 7 weeks. Not what I imagined but who cares.
Besides traveling I wanted to focus on my blog and podcast. Even I didn’t expect writing in English and decided to start all over again, I’m satisfied with my blogging progress.
Can’t say this about my podcast. There is nothing happening at all. I don’t feel capable of continuing my podcast in English. No one wants to hear bad English when there are many other really good alternatives out there. Continuing in German isn’t a real option neither. It just doesn’t feel good. Maybe I should do it anyway. The problem with this I’m always ending up at places with bad internet. Doing Skype interview is just not possible. I kind of gave up on this for the moment. Hoping to resume in English someday.
What is it I like to do the rest of the year?
Definitely focusing on blogging even more. I’d love to reach more people. Have conservation with them – with you. By the way, I really thankful for all people reading my blog. I don’t take it for granted. Especially, after I made the switch English. It’s always much more motivating to know that there are actually people reading your stuff — not just your parents and your best friend.
Let’s see what I can accomplish in the next 6 month. Just loving the progress right now.
What’s more, I kind of feel there is going to happen a lot of personal development. Not quite sure what this means. I’m going to find out.
For me, this year is not about setting any specific goals at all but go along with whatever happens. Becoming more open minded, more flexible and not analyzing, measuring and planning everything.
